The Coordinator

Annita Larissa Sciacovelli

Annita Larissa Sciacovelli is an Associate Professor of International Law at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy) and Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Project “CyberSecurity in the Digital Era: European Perspectives (CDeEP)”, funded by the European Commission. She serves on the Advisory Board of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and is Co-Rapporteur of ENISA’s ad hoc group on the NIS 2 Directive: Post-Implementation.

She is a member of the Defense Innovation Office under the Chief of Defense Staff of the Italian Ministry of Defense, and lectures on international cybersecurity law at the Italian Institute for Advanced Defense Studies (IASD), the Guardia di Finanza School of Economic and Financial Police, and the Cybersecurity Course organized by the Italian Cyber Police.

Professor Sciacovelli is also Vice President of Global Professionals for Artificial Intelligence (GP4AI), and serves on the Advisory Boards of the International Institute for Peace (Vienna) and the Center for International Legal Sciences and New Technologies at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. In 2023, she was named “Professional Woman in Cybersecurity Europe” by CEFCYS (France).

She is widely recognized as a leading voice in international cyber law and a regular speaker at major global forums.

Prof. Emilia Maria Magrone

Emilia Maria Magrone is Senior Researcher of International Law of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” (Uniba), Italy.
She is member of the Territorial Commission of Bari for the Recognition of International Protection (Ministero dell’Interno – Dipartimento per le libertà civili e l’immigrazione) as International Protection and Human Rights Expert designed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and she is Lawyer.

She is Charged Professor of Private International Law at Law Department (Uniba) and at School of Specialization for the Legal Professions (Uniba); she is Charged Professor of International Migration Law, Department of Humanistic Research and Innovation (Uniba).

She is member of the Research Interdipartimental Center on International Law and European Union Law “Vincenzo Starace" (Uniba).

She is member of the Research Interdipartimental Center for Peace “Giuseppe Nardulli” (Uniba).

She is member of the Research group of the Unit of the University of Bari on “Toward stricter rules on trasparency and liability for online platforms in the European digital single market, Project of Significant National Interest (PRIN) funded by the Italian Ministry of research and education.

The research activity includes topics on Private International Law, Public International Law and European Union Law.
She is member of the Editorial Board of “La Comunità internazionale”.

Teresa Catalano, PhD

Teresa Catalano is a research fellow in Cybersecurity legal profiles at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, where she earned her PhD in
international law. She is an italian lawyer specialising in corporate
social responsibility and sustainability reporting. 

She is curator of scientific articles on international law and speaker
at some national and international conferences. 

She is a member of the European Society of International Law and of the Italian Society of International and European Law. She is also a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal “MediaLaws”.
